How to Connect Your Camcorder to Mac for Live Streaming?
First, you’ll need to gather the following supplies:
- A MiniDV or HDV camcorder.
- A FireWire cable.
- A Mac with a FireWire port.
- Once you have all of the supplies, you’re ready to start connecting your camcorder to your Mac.
Here’s how:
- Plug one end of the FireWire cable into the FireWire port on your Mac.
- Then, take the other end of the cable and plug it into the DV out or HDV out port on your camcorder.
- If your camcorder has both ports, we recommend using the DV out port.
- Once everything is plugged in, turn on your camcorder.
- At this point, your Mac should recognize the camcorder and prompt you to open up iMovie or QuickTime Player.
